Can you really save time by multi-tasking? This is the third post I’ve created for the fabulous professionals over at Get Organised on the topic of multi-tasking.
In the first post I examined WHY people multi-task.
The second post I examined a CON of multi-tasking.
In the pursuit of fairness, I examine a PRO of multi-tasking.
Please – jump on over to the Get Organised site and check it out! (Especially those of you who believe no one should EVER multi-task!!! I would love to hear your view point!)
Hi Lisa,
I have a tendency to believe that multi-tasking creates too much room for error, don’t get me wrong there are times when it can be done and certain people may be better than others but if you are running a serious business, serious mistakes that could be caused by this can really cost you time and money.
Hi Jason –
I agree completely! The only reason I felt comfortable multi-tasking in this specific instance was because I had already picked and proofed the quotes . . . so the process of creating the graphics were pretty mindless. Otherwise – I believe in 100% attention!! :)
I appreciate the comment!

Hi Lisa,
Thank you for all these great articles on Multi-tasking. I think the most important aspect of multi-tasking is the ability to focus on the relevant and ignore the irrelevant. In order to multitask well, you need to be able to very quickly decide between what’s important and what you are going to pay attention to, and what’s irrelevant.
Healthy blessings!

Great point! Once you can focus on the important . . . the unimportant kind of just fades away! I appreciate you stopping by!
