I love when a client asks me – what type of calendar do you think I should use? It’s a super easy question for me to answer – because really it isn’t what I THINK . . . it’s what is the best fit for the client.
So instead, I ask questions. Lots and lots of questions. Building awareness is the first step in making decisions.
- How do you learn best?
- What will you use your calendar for?
- When will you access it?
- Where will you access it?
- Who else needs to have access to your calendar?
- What do you prefer – paper or digital?
- What have you tried in the past?
- What has worked in the past?
- What hasn’t worked in the past?
And truly – the list goes on and on and on.
Because you see – one size doesn’t fit all. Each of us has different likes, dislikes and needs. (Don’t believe me? Check out this 39 second video!)

I love that video. I’ve used it my presentations when I’ve spoken about direct mail.
When it comes to calendars, I still use a good ‘ol datebook with paper & a pencil (yes, a pencil as there are often changes to the schedule). Thanks!
:)
Debra –
Hello from a fellow PENCIL and paper calendar user! The thought of PEN on my calendar just scares me! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!
Lisa
That’s a simple way to put things into perspective. Thank you.
