“I’ll start exercising as soon as things get back to normal.”

“As soon as my business evens out, I’ll spend more time with my family.”

“I’ll take a vacation as soon as things settle down.”

Guess what – I hate to rain on your parade, but this IS your normal!

Waiting until “things get back to normal” is counter-productive.  You are putting off your happiness and postponing your priorities for a reality that may not exist.

Instead – claim it!  This is your NEW normal.

The current circumstances that are occurring right now in your life are occurring now.  Whether you are moving, remodeling, or building a new home, or caring for a sick relative, or business is booming, or business is struggling, or you’ve taken on more volunteer responsibilities, or you started on a new “big project”, for now this is your normal.

Could your normal change in a day, a week, a month, a year? Sure!  But are you willing to put off your happiness for a day, a week, a month, a year?

Take a breather.  Step back.  Define your new normal.  Make some adjustments to your task list and calendar that reflect your priorities and move forward with enthusiasm.  You are on the path towards your happiness!
