If you start with defining who you want to be, and then look at strategies on how to get there, you can create enormous success. But first, you need to determine what your end goal is!
Caryn Fitzgerald of Coffee and Coaching with Caryn and I explored this concept and more on her show. Caryn’s nickname is “the Manifesting Queen” because of her ability to create success by setting an intention (who do you want to be), then focus and create it (the strategy) – so it was a natural fit for us to have this conversation!
With a specialty in coaching in relationship based business and goal setting and achievement, Caryn and I have a similar background and see a similar vision of success for our clients. Her Coffee and Coaching with Caryn Podcast (which now has listeners in 9 countries and over 7000 plays of the show per month and growing daily) explores stories of success in all forms.
Please listen to the podcast and learn more about creating success through vision and strategy. We discussed how important it is to be aware of when you are working hard and moving quickly but don’t really know where you’re going, or even where you WANT to go!

Coffee. Chocolate, The Beach. Country Music. You’ve got it all together!
On a serious note, I use a Franklin Planner as a time control device. Over the years I’ve pretty well developed a sense what needs to be done daily to accomplish the goals for the week, month, quarter and year. Where I preach, we operate on a yearly theme, and then I can build my classes and sermons around that theme for the whole year. My speaking schedule is already in my calendar. I know where I will be, Lord willing, in November!
Thanks for insights and vision casting. Your type of coaching is needed in today’s world.
Ken – Thanks for your comment. You are implementing a plan based on long term goals and short term action steps to support those goals. FABULOUS!
I’m more of a go with the flow kinda girl. I set my intentions and then just follow my bliss. I like to take time every morning to tune into my intuition and allow myself to flow through my day with joy and inspiration. Of course I have set tasks for each week like client sessions and posting my blog etc but most of the time I do what makes my heart smile :)
Emma – Fabulous that you are living your life in joy. You utilize a plan based on spontaneity and structure and it works for you. Congrats!
Can’t really function without coffee in the morning.
Smiles!
