Does this sound familiar?

With my new full-time job and my daughter’s busy soccer schedule, I just don’t have any free time at all right now to work on creating better time management skills. Plus, we are getting ready to move so I have a lot going on. As soon as my schedule mellows out a bit, I’ll be ready to start coaching and improving my day to day habits!

I call this “magical thinking”.  It’s the belief that things will get “easier” in the future.  Yet, we know (yes – I include myself in this!) that tomorrow isn’t any easier unless we do something different today.

The ideal time to start will never come.

If nothing changes, nothing changes!!!!

How are you going to “get through” this hectic time?  With poise and grace and the ability to breathe – or scrambling around hoping nothing falls through the cracks?

The next time you find yourself in a similar situation (a lot on your plate and hoping that things will get better in the future) ask yourself a few clarifying questions . . .

  • What is your plan to get your “schedule to mellow out”?
  • What is your plan to keep all the balls in the air at work?
  • How do you know when you are overwhelmed?
  • AND – how do you get out of the overwhelm?

If you don’t have a concrete plan in place for any of the above questions, it’s magical thinking to think that tomorrow will be any different than today.  Reach out for support now, so your life CAN mellow out, and your stress level can reduce, and you can enjoy your life!

Your turn! How can you stop the wishful thinking and MAKE something happen?

I’m here to support you in any way that I can – whenever and however that may be.  If you are serious about creating a different reality – one filled with ease and comfort – let’s talk!
