What would your perfect day look like? Where would you be? Who would you be with? What would you be doing?
“How we spend our days is, of course, how spend our lives.” Anne Dillard
My perfect day involves the beach, a good book, sunshine, lemonade, and chocolate. (I’ll even let my husband join me!)
By “making it a priority” I mean . . . schedule it.
Now, maybe your perfect day is going on a safari in Africa, and you live in the United States. It may be a little more complicated to “just schedule it”. But, by focusing on creating this day – you can make it happen. Hotels, airfare, and other logistics are just that logistics. With thought and planning they can be overcome.
I challenge you today to take 15 minutes and schedule your “perfect day” or at least some of your “perfect day activities”.
What would your perfect day look like? You deserve to enjoy your perfect day. How can you plan and schedule to make it happen? Please comment below.
I love this post! I think I could spend my perfect day in lots of different ways. But today my perfect day would be spending time with my family at my Mom’s house. I will be day dreaming of that, and think of a way to make that happen!

Keeping my fingers crossed you can find a way, make a way, for your perfect day to become reality! Keep me posted on your progress!
Lisa
Great post – my perfect day is similar to yours in a few ways – beach, chocolate and a good book would be top of my list – and some sort of exercise. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for stopping by! Thrilled to find a like minded “perfect day” pal! :)

I love your idea of taking “pieces”. I am very isolated, so one thing I can do more actively is scheduling time with family to spend the day, enjoy some good food and watch of movie perhaps. Someone has to take the initiative, so it might as well be me. My sister and I don’t get together nearly enough, and years are flying by. At home, I can schedule “pamper” days where I can spend more time treating myself and doing things I don’t do on a normal busy day. Love the idea and I will definitely put this one into practice :-) I’m scheduling a pamper period this weekend!

Thanks for stopping by! I’m excited that you are going to implement some of the techniques from this post. How was your “pamper period” this weekend?? Please share your success!

Gosh, thought about my perfect days, they would be hard to schedule. I have to work on that. Visiting from Blog Formatting…Trying to follow you on Twitter, it has been messing up on me, so if I do not get you now I will later. Nice post, thanks

Don’t worry about going 0 to 60 in 4 seconds :) If you are struggling to find the time to schedule your perfect day, go ahead and schedule parts of your perfect day! Take time for you!
Lisa
Hmm..my perfect day would also involve a beach, sun, good book and my other half. I love you comment about letting your husband join you. lol

I definitely schedule perfect days when I can. I think that sometimes even a perfect afternoon or a perfect hour can be enough to take small steps toward making ourselves happier!
I also enjoy the beach, ocean or pool, and being with my dear family alongside me. Thanks, I already visualized my perfect day!
Thanks for stopping by, Delia! I’m thrilled you visualized your perfect day. I agree . . . an hour, an afternoon, a day . . . whatever amount of time you can spend enjoying yourself enriches your life. As entrepreneurs, we tend to wear many hats, and the business portion takes front and center over the personal.

I visualize my perfect life everyday, and I’m slowly moving towards it. I believe that we can have the life we desire, but we have to believe it and work for it. I take vacations every year because we deserve a break every now and then.

Kudos to you! We certainly can’t live our perfect day (or life) until we can visualize what it looks like and plan to make it happen!!! Have an awesome week!

Hey Lisa.. stopping in from Blog Formatting. Scheduling in those favorite activities (or even a whole day) is a great idea. So many people – frequently women – never feel they have the right to do so. But refreshing ourselves pays big dividends to everyone in our lives:) Thanks for sharing!
Hi Seana –
Thanks for stopping by! You are right on the money – we can only fill other people’s cup up, if our is filled!

I was going through some old files a few years ago, when I came up something I’d written and forgotten about a few years before that, describing my ideal day. Interestingly, it described my typical day at the time I found the document. Even though I hadn’t even remembered doing the exercise, clearly the ideas were planted in my brain and sent out the universe, and eventually everything fell into place.

YEAH!!!!!!! Every year I write down 100 things I want to accomplish throughout the year. Sometimes I don’t look at the list consistently – but I’m always amazed at how I’m able to cross off some items without even realizing I accomplished them. It’s amazing what happens when you send something out to the universe! :)
